Profile

Li Lingling is currently an assistant professor in the School of Humanities at Southeast University(top 20 in China). She has a joint PhD from Sun Yat-sen University (top 10 in China) and the University of Western Australia(world’s top 100). Dr. Li’s research focuses on internet literature and cultural industries、literary theories and urban cultural studies.

She has an interdisciplinary academic background based on literature, cultural anthropology, and cultural studies. Her major was archaeology in Department of Anthropology at Sun Yat-sen University (2001-2003). In 2003 she transferred to Chinese language and literature department, then received her BA’s degree and had a chance to go on with a six-year continuous academic project that involved postgraduate and doctoral study, in theory of literature and art.(2005-2011) During the period, she won a funding from China Scholarship Council to support her media cultural research at the University of Western Australia(2010).

She has been working as an assistant professor at Southeast University Since 2012. She had been the vice dean of the department of Chinese language and literature for two years, in charge of the discipline development and postgraduate education.
